Should I stay or should I go? These are the decisions which us surfers take every day. It doesn’t matter whether you are a pro or grafting on a construction site, the decision is the same weighing up time, opportunity, cost, family etc. Will it be worth it?
Fresh off the red eye from Teahupoo, Nic von Rupp had a choice to make: head home? Or rinse and repeat? Fortunately, for him and us, this guy is a listener - and when he saw the numbers clicking into place for a once-in-two year event, he spun on his heels and headed back into departures.
Was it worth it? Hell yes.
