ATLAS | A surf movie

Surfing has improved the lives of many people in Morocco but unfortunately there are also some negative implications hidden in the shadow of world famous waves.

Surf tourism can be good or bad, depending on how it is handled. Atlas collects testimonies of people sharing very diverse views on the matter. All opinions will help to increase the awareness of those like us, surfers and travelers, fell in love with Morocco.

Morocco Bound - Lee-Ann Curren

Morocco Bound - with Lee-Ann Curren from Claudia Lederer
Lee-Ann Trades Chilly France For Warm Morocco Pump

Lee-Ann Curren, daughter of all-time legend Tom, traded chilly French breaks for the warmer waters of Taghazout, Morocco this past winter. As a popular annual migration for many salty Europeans, the West African nation offers some of the most perfect right hand breaks, although with waves labelled - Mysteries, Killers and Dracula’s (for its razor sharp teeth like rocks below the surface) you might think twice before paddling out.

Huge thanks to Roxy and Hotel Paradis Plage in Taghazout for supporting this trip & video
Music by Tom Curren
