Warning - Tough footage of the agony of "Sweet girl", this young humpback whale struck head-on by a nasty marine driver in Tahiti on October 8th. The video must be watched with sound to hear the distress calls. Sweet Girl drowned after several hours of agony.
MarineTraffic data indicates that boats (ferries in particular) left the port at 30 knots!!! While the limitation is 5 knots and we are in the middle of whale season!! An absolute shame. @SeaShepherdFran and the local association @matatohora
filed a complaint and requested the opening of an investigation. We will do everything possible to identify and convict the criminals who did this. At the same time, we are launching a call for witnesses. STOP IMPUNITY!!
