And welcome to our journey through a wave (and rock structure) called "God's Crack" located in northern Japan. I was in Japan photographing something totally different when my friend I was traveling with, Keito Matsuoka, mentioned that there was a strange wave to me... and lo and behold, there was a wave breaking between a very narrow crack between two rocks 🤯. From the beach it didn't really look viable so we decided to paddle out and "check it out" but we all know what that means when you go out the back.
