BIG WAVES MISSION IN CANARY ISLANDS

Born in Spain's Canary Islands, Laura Coviella started her surfing career later in life than her competitors. Laura was 12 years old when she took off on her first wave, but it was at the age of 16 that she became a consistent surfer. At 18, she began competing internationally.

Now Laura is carving a place for herself in big wave surfing and hopes to push for progress in women's surfing.
