Stephanie Gilmore In Swimsuit Shows Off Toned Body

PHOTO: GETTY | CAMERON SPENCER

Stephanie Gilmore, 34, is an Australian professional surfer with an impressive record of winning the Women's WSL World Tour seven times.

The surfer began surfing professionally at the age of 10, and at 17, she was chosen as a wild card participant in the 2005 Roxy Pro Gold Coast, where she won first place.

While the six-time world surfing champion clearly enjoys the sport's very competitive side, she also enjoys its glamorous side. Stephanie enjoys flaunting her toned body in bikinis while she effortlessly glides through the waves.

On April 21, 2021, Stephanie shared pictures of her rocking a pink one-piece swimsuit from the brand. She posed sitting in the beach water. She had her hair in a bun and smiled happily in the photo.

She captioned the post,"North shore hangs in new @roxy #POPsurf!! This suit is fun to

Stephanie Gilmore - The Tempest

Stephanie Gilmore - The Tempest from Monster Children Creative
Steph Gilmore, Inside The Tempest.

It’s hard to go past Indonesia for a strike mission in the middle of the liturgical year. We scoured the archipelago from the comfort of our office chairs in search of a wave that compliments Steph’s particular set of skills. Steph was after “cute slabs” – the definition of which you’ll discover in due course—and while we weren’t blessed with days of waves, the one day of money was well worth the wait, and near-death experience of the boat ride back to base. Here’s two days on a leaky boat through the rose-tinted specs of the eternally peppy, Miss Stephanie Gilmore.

"Stephanie is an original badass. She surfs like people should surf and plays music from her soul. She's interested in a variety of topics outside of riding waves. She's got an eclectic and diverse group of friends and followers all around the world. She'd be just as comfortable in her skin if nobody knew who she was. My mom wrote me yesterday and said she is a Stephanie groupie and she just loves her whole deal. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who has anything but praise for her. She's not complicated like most women seem to be and knows how she wants to live and what she wants. What else can I say?" Kelly Slater.

Stephanie Gilmore is out of the Margaret River Pro with a knee injury.

Stephanie Gilmore is sweating on the results of an MRI scan this week to see if a fun session surfing will wipe out her bid to equal Layne Beachley’s record of seven world crowns this year.

The outcome of scans either late on Monday or on Tuesday will determine whether Gilmore will be surfing the next event of the world surf league in Rio next month after her bid for the Margaret River Pro crown came to a painful end thanks to a knee injury sustained in a free surf.
A distressed Gilmore has already been diagnosed with a fracture in her tibia but whether she also has ligament damage is still to be determined.
“I’ve injured my knee, I’ve got a little fracture in one of my bones. It’s a bit of a bummer,’’ said Gilmore who admitted yesterday she is in significant pain after hitting the sand straight-legged while surfing for fun.

“I don’t want to push it in case of further damage.’’

Gilmore said she is still hopeful she will be recovered in time to contest the next event of the world surf league in Rio from May 11s.
“Fractures aren’t as bad a ligaments so fingers crossed,’’ she said.
Many believe Gilmore is the only surfer in the world capable of not just equalling and exceeding Beachley’s record but also matching or bettering Kelly Slater’s 11 world crowns.
Missing two events this season would make her quest to match Beachley’s benchmark in 2015 almost an impossibility.
While Gilmore, her leg swathed in bandages, watched from the beach, Australians Sally Fitzgibbons and Tyler Wright snared two early berth in the quarter-finals of the Margaret River Pro.
The pair are the only two Australian surfers to advance into the quarter-finals with Fitzgibbons drawn against American Lakey Peterson in her quarter-final clash and Wright up against Courtney Conlogue.
