Sky Brown | Traveling Around the World | My Crew in Bali

Traveling the world and meeting up with my friends in Bali to skate and surf.

Sky is a record-breaking skateboarder and a true inspiration for the next generation on and off the skatepark. In 2020 at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, Brown competed as part of the Great Britain team at only 13 years of age. She not only did she made history as the youngest ever Great Britain Olympian participating in the Summer Olympics, but she also won the bronze medal.

Sky announced that she will also be participating in surfing qualifiers, leading to competing in 2 sports in the 2024 Summer Olympics. Breaking new grounds, she is also the first female to land a frontside 540 figure. In July 2022, Sky won gold in Women’s Skateboard Park at the X Games, known as the biggest worldwide skate competition.  In January 2023, Sky took gold in World Championships, granting her her first World Champion title.

Connected with the new generation, she interacts everyday with more than millions of followers inspiring them to push the limits and go for their dreams.

Sky and Ocean post weekly vlogs on their YouTube channel, following their lives as skaters and surfers. When they’re not skating at the the skatepark or ripping waves in the ocean, they are using their platform to empower kids around the world through education and sports. Sky is an ambassador for Skateistan, Laureus, and has worked with many local organizations as well.

Sky won Dancing with the Stars Juniors, and has appeared with her brother on Little Big Shots, The Drew Barrymore Show, Kelly Clarkson show, Good Morning America GMA, Today Show, amongst many other press outlets. Sky has placed top 3 in global skateboarding and surfing contests including Dew Tour, Stab High, STU, ISO World Championships, amongst many others.

TRAINING IN HAWAII.. Surfing North Shore | Sky Brown

Video by Sky & Ocean.

There are so many things I do to train for surfing and skating. Today I wanted to show you some of the things I do to train for surfing - and how to recover after, like taking a freezing cold ice bath! Also we did kick-boxing in Hawaii which was so fun. I've been surfing in North Shore on O'ahu in Hawaii on Pipeline and Backdoor and it has been epic. I'm so excited to represent Team Great Britain in the Tokyo 2020 (now 2021!) Summer Olympics! Follow my journey as the youngest Olympic athlete to compete in Tokyo through many qualifier competitions leading up to the summer games.

Drop In with Sky Brown and Jeff Ho

In honor of the first day of Women's History Month, we are celebrating a young female phenom writing new chapters in modern day history: skateboarder, surfer, dancer, model, artist, musician, singer and philanthropist, Sky Brown. We dug into the archives to bring you this flashback episode of the JUICE MAGAZINE DROP IN SHOW with SKY BROWN and JEFF HO that was recorded in February 2018 when Sky was nine years old.

Since that time, in less than one year, Sky Brown, one of the youngest pro skaters in the world, has been picked up for sponsorship by Nike and Hurley in addition to her already impressive list of sponsors including Almost Skateboards and Grizzly. In fact, Sky was recently featured skating the Venice Skatepark in a Nike commercial titled "Dream Crazier" narrated by Serena Williams showcasing a world class line up of women athletes.

Big things are happening for this generous, community-minded young skate ambassador and we wanted to share this rare conversation between super grom, Sky Brown, and one of the founding fathers of Zephyr and the Z-Boys legacy and Skateboarding Hall of Fame Icon, Jeff Ho.

Jeff Ho talked with Sky about her beginning days of skateboarding with her dad, surfing and skating with her brother Ocean, her favorite places to skate and surf, the skaters that influence her and the tricks she likes to do and how important it is for her to inspire and help others.

Sky and Jeff also discuss Sky’s collaboration skateboard with Almost and Skateistan, which has already raised $16,000 for Skateistan, and Sky’s charitable work with Pride Socks to benefit ISF and children living in extreme poverty. As of January 2019, Sky and Pride Socks have raised $4,825 for ISF from the proceeds of Sky’s ‘Sky’s the Limit” socks. Wow!

With skateboarding as a priority for this mini shredder, we are happy to announce that, this past weekend, Sky Brown took first place in the Women’s Division at the Simple Session 19 contest in Estonia.

In December of 2018, Sky made her dreams of being a dancer come true as Sky and her dance partner, JT Church, were crowned the champions of the first Dancing With The Stars Juniors show on ABC.

As Sky Brown continues to conquer her goals at supersonic speed, we'd like to congratulate her on all of her success and wish her the best for the future. As Sky often says, “Be brave, be strong and have fun!”

This 9-Year-Old Pro Skateboarder Is The Next Olympic Superstar

Video from Refinery29

Show up at any skateboarding competition, and you might see 9-year-old Sky Brown hanging out with some teens — and not just hanging around, but keeping up and, in some cases, showing them up.

The biggest dream is to compete at the X Games, which she hasn't been able to attend yet due to her age. She doesn't quite understand why. "I want to inspire girls; even if you're three or four you can still do it," she says. "Just believe in yourself."

"My motto always is: Be brave. Be strong. Have fun. And do it because you love it," she says.
