One year ago, we surfed the biggest day in recorded history at Mavericks.

This video is a sit-down, honest breakdown of that day. The build-up, the conditions, and the responsibility of towing one of my closest friends into the biggest wave of his life and the biggest wave of the year. What followed in the water, the decisions that mattered, the mistakes, the lessons, and the costs.

2021/22 winter big wave season kicked off with a swell that hit Peahi aka Jaws. Featuring surfers like Kai Lenny, Ian Walsh, Billy Kemper, Trevor Carlson, Jamie Mitchell, Luca Padua, Jojo Roper, Francisco Porcella and more.

Big waves and clean conditions made this a paddle day at Jaws.
